Greetings SCC Membership!
It is hard to believe we only have a few weeks left in the curling season; and what a season it has been! We have so many accomplishments to be proud of. Some of the highlights include:
- 4 Bonspiels (2 of which were at full capacity)
- Hosting state club playdowns
- A thriving junior program
- A growing pool of new members in our Sunday night program
Our annual Spring meeting will be held at the Club on Thursday, April 7 at 6:00 PM. Three of seven board seats will be up for reappointment. Those seats currently are held by Brian Crawford, Doug Runnoe, and Trent Wickman. Brian Crawford has indicated he will not be running for re-election. We have reached out to some members of the Club to form a nominating committee (per our bylaws) to identify potential candidates to fill the seats.
The nominating committee consists of:
- Brian Bergquist – This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
- Matt Bordson – This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
- Steve Farnham – This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
If you are interested in serving on the board, please reach out to the nominating committee or any member of the board. If we end up in a situation where we have more candidates than seats open, we will hold a vote to fill the open seats at the meeting.
You may have noticed that we keep repeating the same theme; The success of the Superior Curling Club is a direct result of our memberships’ efforts. Thank you to everyone who continues to contribute to the Club’s success. Serving on the Board of Directors is a great way to guide our club on its continued path to success.
We hope to see as many of our members as possible at the Spring Meeting!
Tim Bradshaw
