The winner of the Bill Strum Memorial Tournament is the club champion and receives recognition on the club championship plaque and a cash prize. The event honors the memory of Bill Strum who is a SCC lifetime member, 3-time world champion, world curling hall of fame member, and 2-time Olympian including a bronze medal in Albertville in 1992. A tremendous legacy.
 
Any 4-person regular league team (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday) is eligible to enter, regardless of regular season record. You are allowed to play on multiple teams with the understanding that at some point you may have to either play yourself or play at the same time. I do my best to avoid conflicts like this but it’s not always avoidable.
 
The dates for the tournament are as follows. Teams that would like to compete must be available on these dates: 

• Tuesday, March 24th                        1st round
• Wednesday, March 25th                   2nd round
• Monday, March 30th                         Quarterfinals
• Tuesday, March 31st                        Semifinals
• Wednesday, April 1st                        Finals 

All games will be at 6 PM unless:

•  There is a conflict with someone playing on two teams at the same time, one game will be moved to 8 PM.
• Mutual agreement between skips.

Tournament rules:

• Tournament will be seeded based on regular season performance.
• All teams must have a minimum of 2 roster members playing (i.e. the team member appears on the official team roster on the SCC website). NOTE: There is currently no cut-off date for roster changes.
• A team is allowed a maximum of 1 sub (sub must be an SCC member).  The sub must throw lead except by mutual agreement of skips.
• All games are 8 ends.
• We will not be using a buzzer, however please be cognizant of pace of play .

Sign up will be through the website and there is no cost to enter.  All teams must be signed up by Tuesday, March 17th. The draw will be released Friday, March 20th. League commissioners, please ensure that league standings on the website are up to date as these are used for seeding.
